Such is the high quality of the wines produced here that Hugh Johnson gave Cousino Macul the biggest compliment possible in the wine world naming them as "the First Growth of Chile". This wine shows the essence of Merlot. Totally fermented in stainless steel tanks, it has lots of fruit, no wood and is extremely balanced Ruby red in colour with purple tones. It?s a young and fresh wine with a soft nose reminiscent of blueberry & blackberry fruit & black plums with a hint of spice.
