Today the fine wines of Capichera are exported all over the world and are proud ambassadors of Sardinian wine. The word Matenghja is an ancient blessing in the local Gallura dialect, the wine representing a tribute to the gifts of the natural environment of Gallura which permit the production of such a fine wine. Deep ruby red in colour with intense purple reflections. The aromas are intense & vibrantly fruity with hints of black berry fruits, blueberries, juniper, coffee beans, cocoa & mint leaves. The palate is full bodied with lush ripe dark fruit flavours, densely textured with fine grained tannins creating a balanced structure. Warm spiced softly peppered notes linger in the brooding finish.
