The vineyards are planted with 75% Semillon, 23% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Muscadelle and the vines have an average age of around 38 years, producing grapes of intense concentrated flavour. The presence of the Noble Rot, Botrytis further intensifies the sweetness & flavour of the grapes with notes of honeysuckle, quince & ginger. Lemon gold in colour with a rich, intense bouquet of white floral notes, jasmine, lilac & acacia blossom combine with honeyed apricot, lemon curd, gingerbread spice & delicate vanilla oak. The palate has poise & attack, well rounded with lively acidity & a rich array of candied fruit, citrus, pineapple & apricot flavours balanced by a fine minerality. The texture is luscious gliding to a sumptuous yet refreshing finish laced with hazelnut, peach & nectarine. A simply divine dessert wine. Fresh and delicious now but with aging the flavours will become rounder & deeper in concentration, equally delicious!.
